5-Ingredient Hamburger Potato Casserole

A creamy, cheesy casserole made with ground beef and potatoes. An easy one-pan dinner using just five ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet, season lightly, and drain grease.
  3. Layer half the potatoes in the dish, then half the beef.
  4. Spread half the soup and sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover and bake 45 minutes, uncover and bake 10–15 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

  • Use thin potato slices for best texture.
  • Swap soup flavors if desired.
  • Add seasoning to beef for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers airtight in the fridge.
