Ingredients
  

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1 –2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for extra crispiness
  • Optional Seasonings / Dips:
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Chili powder
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • Honey drizzle
  • Garlic aioli
  • Spicy mayo

Method
 

  1. Peel sweet potatoes if desired and cut into even fry-sized sticks for uniform cooking.
  2. Place cut fries in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes. Drain and pat completely dry with paper towels.
  3. Toss fries with olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and cornstarch (if using). Coat evenly.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Place fries in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crispy. Avoid overcrowding.
  6. Remove from air fryer, adjust seasoning if needed, and serve hot with your favorite dip.

  • Dry fries completely after soaking for best crisp texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the basket cook in batches if needed.
  • Cornstarch helps create extra crispy edges.
