Ingredients
  

  • Cupcakes
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup hot water
  • Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 –3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Topping
  • 12 fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients, then add wet ingredients and hot water. Stir until smooth.
  3. Fill liners and bake 18–20 minutes. Cool completely.
  4. Beat frosting ingredients until light and fluffy.
  5. Melt chocolate and dip strawberries. Let set.
  6. Frost cupcakes and top with chocolate-covered strawberries.

Notes

  • Dry strawberries fully before dipping.
  • Decorate close to serving time for best freshness.
  • Store cupcakes chilled if using fresh strawberries.
  • Use white chocolate drizzle for extra decoration.320
