Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cups broth
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in saucepan.
  2. Whisk in flour and cook lightly.
  3. Stir in spices and toast gently.
  4. Add tomato paste and broth slowly.
  5. Simmer until thickened and smooth.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning gradually.
  • Thin with broth if sauce becomes too thick.
