Ingredients
  

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm whole milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 –2 tbsp milk

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk and sugar.
  2. Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
  3. Let rise until doubled.
  4. Roll out, add filling, slice.
  5. Rise again and bake at 350°F for 22–25 minutes.
  6. Frost while warm.

Notes

  • Ensure milk is warm, not hot.
  • Frosting spreads best on warm rolls.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated.
