Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked ham diced
  • 3 medium potatoes cubed
  • cups corn kernels
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • cups milk or cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a pot and sauté onion until soft.
  2. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  3. Stir in potatoes and ham.
  4. Add broth and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in corn, milk, and flour.
  6. Simmer until thick and creamy, then serve.

Notes

  • Mash potatoes for thicker chowder
  • Add bacon for extra flavor
  • Adjust cream to taste
