Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz pasta fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional chili flakes or herbs

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve pasta water.
  2. Cook shrimp in butter until pink; remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté garlic in the same pan until fragrant.
  4. Add cream and seasoning; simmer gently.
  5. Toss pasta with sauce, adding pasta water as needed.
  6. Add shrimp back and mix until well combined.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the shrimp
  • Add vegetables for variation
  • Use pasta water for a silky sauce
