Ingredients
  

For the Dish
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples peeled and sliced into 8 wedges each
  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup lemon-lime soda
Optional Add-Ins / Toppings
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Caramel drizzle

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease baking dish.
  2. Wrap apple wedges in crescent dough.
  3. Melt butter and mix with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  4. Pour sauce over dumplings and add soda around edges.
  5. Bake 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbling.

Notes

  • Use tart apples for best flavor contrast.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
