Ingredients
  

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil spray
  • 4 sandwich buns

Method
 

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise for even thickness.
  2. Coat chicken with buttermilk and rest for 20 minutes.
  3. Mix flour, breadcrumbs, and spices in a bowl.
  4. Press chicken firmly into the coating.
  5. Place chicken in air fryer basket and spray lightly with oil.
  6. Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 14–16 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. Rest briefly, then assemble sandwiches with buns and toppings.

Notes

  • Press the coating firmly onto the chicken for maximum crispiness.
  • Reheat in the air fryer for best texture.
