Method
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, vinegar, and pepper flakes.
- Place chicken in crock pot, pour sauce over.
- Cook low 4–5 hours or high 2–3 hours until tender.
- Optional: thicken sauce with cornstarch slurry on high for 15 minutes.
- Serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
