Ingredients
  

  • lbs chicken breasts or thighs
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 carrots sliced
  • 2 celery stalks sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups egg noodles

Method
 

  1. Add chicken, vegetables, seasonings, and broth to crockpot.
  2. Cook on low until chicken is tender.
  3. Shred chicken and return to soup.
  4. Add noodles and cook until tender.
  5. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add noodles at the end to prevent mushiness.
  • Store noodles separately for longer storage.
  • Cream can be added for a richer soup.
