Ingredients

  • For the Potsticker Noodle Bowl
  • 12 –16 frozen potstickers
  • 8 oz noodles ramen, rice noodles, or spaghetti
  • 2 cups coleslaw mix
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil for cooking
  • Optional Add-Ins / Toppings
  • Sriracha or chili flakes
  • Sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Extra fresh vegetables like snap peas

Method

  1. Step 1: Cook the Potstickers Properly
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the frozen potstickers flat-side down in the pan and cook until the bottoms turn golden brown. Add a small splash of water, cover the skillet with a lid, and allow the potstickers to steam until fully cooked and tender. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
  3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your chosen noodles and cook according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain the noodles well and set them aside so they do not become soggy.
  4. In the same skillet used for the potstickers, add sesame oil. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook briefly until fragrant. Add the coleslaw mix and sliced bell peppers, cooking for 2–3 minutes until the vegetables soften slightly but still maintain some crunch.
  5. Add the cooked noodles into the skillet with the vegetables. Pour in soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Toss everything together thoroughly so the noodles are evenly coated and absorb the flavors of the sauce.
  6. Return the cooked potstickers to the skillet or arrange them on top of the noodles. Garnish with chopped green onions and optional toppings. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the noodles, as they will continue to cook slightly when mixed with the sauce.
  • Keep the vegetables slightly crisp to maintain freshness and texture.
  • If the noodles seem dry during reheating, add a small splash of soy sauce or water to restore moisture.
  • This recipe works well with different noodle varieties, including rice noodles or ramen.
  • For extra protein, stir in shredded chicken or tofu during the final mixing step.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
