Ground Turkey Pasta

A light and flavorful penne pasta dish made with seasoned ground turkey, lemon, fresh herbs, and Parmesan.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz 340g penne pasta
  • 1 lb 450g ground turkey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup fresh basil
  • Salt and black pepper
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Method
 

  1. Cook penne pasta until al dente; reserve pasta water.
  2. Brown ground turkey in olive oil.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook briefly.
  4. Stir in lemon zest, juice, parsley, and basil.
  5. Add pasta and Parmesan; toss with reserved pasta water.

Notes

  • Store up to 4 days.
  • Add extra lemon for brighter flavor.
  • Use fresh herbs for best results.
