Ingredients
  

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts 2 crusts
  • ¾ cup fruit filling strawberry, cherry, or apple
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray.
  2. Cut heart shapes from pie crusts using a cookie cutter.
  3. Spoon filling onto half the hearts, leaving a border.
  4. Top with remaining hearts and seal edges with a fork.
  5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sugar on top.
  6. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and flaky.

Notes

  • Use thick fillings to avoid leaks.
  • Chill dough briefly if it gets sticky.
  • Best served warm.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days.
