Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray.
- Cut heart shapes from pie crusts using a cookie cutter.
- Spoon filling onto half the hearts, leaving a border.
- Top with remaining hearts and seal edges with a fork.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sugar on top.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and flaky.
Notes
- Use thick fillings to avoid leaks.
- Chill dough briefly if it gets sticky.
- Best served warm.
- Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days.
