Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk 110°F
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cups vegetable oil for frying
Optional Add-Ins / Toppings
  • ½ cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar
  • Chocolate drizzle

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk and sugar.
  2. Mix dough and knead until smooth.
  3. Let rise until doubled.
  4. Shape into twisted ropes.
  5. Fry at 350°F and coat in sugar.
