Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cups rolled oats
  • cups chocolate chips
  • Optional Add-Ins / Toppings
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup pecans
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut
  • Extra chocolate chips for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl mix flour, baking soda, and salt, then combine with the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop dough onto the baking sheet using a tablespoon.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
