Ingredients
  

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 6 –8 oz smoked salmon
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill or parsley
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg beaten

Method
 

  1. Mix salmon, cream cheese, herbs, lemon juice, and pepper.
  2. Cut puff pastry into star shapes.
  3. Fill half the stars and top with remaining stars.
  4. Brush with egg wash and add toppings if desired.
  5. Bake until golden and puffed.
