Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until light and creamy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients and add milk if needed.
  6. Roll dough into small balls and place on baking sheet.
  7. Flatten slightly and bake for 10–12 minutes.
  8. Cool on a rack before serving.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  • Chill dough for 20 minutes if cookies spread too much.
  • Add chocolate drizzle for variation.
  • Use high-quality vanilla extract for the best flavor.
  • Dust with powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
