Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked red beans
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Optional Add-Ins / Toppings
  • Smoked sausage
  • Green onions
  • Fresh parsley

Method
 

  1. Cook rice and set aside.
  2. Sauté onion, pepper, and garlic.
  3. Add beans, broth, and spices.
  4. Simmer for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Serve beans over rice.

Notes

  • Use kidney beans for traditional flavor.
  • Garnish with herbs or green onions.
