Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Brown beef in olive oil.
  2. Add onion and peppers; cook until soft.
  3. Stir in garlic, tomatoes, sauce, and broth.
  4. Season and simmer 20 minutes.
  5. Add cooked rice and simmer 5 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with toppings.

Notes

  • Add rice at the end to prevent overcooking.
  • Adjust seasoning after simmering.
  • Freeze without rice for best results.
