Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Italian sausage mild or spicy
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 medium russet potatoes thinly sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups fresh kale chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Optional Add-Ins / Toppings / Sauce
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • Extra red pepper flakes
  • Crusty bread
  • Olive oil drizzle

Method
 

  1. Cook bacon until crispy; remove.
  2. Brown sausage in same pot.
  3. Add onion and garlic; sauté.
  4. Add broth and potatoes; simmer 15–20 minutes.
  5. Stir in cream and kale; cook 5 minutes.
  6. Return bacon and serve.

Notes

  • Store 4 days refrigerated.
  • Freeze without cream for best results.
  • Adjust spice level to preference.
